Netflix begins production on The Inbetweeners 3 film

Netflix has officially announced that production has commenced in the UK for ‘The Inbetweeners 3’, a feature film continuing the popular British comedy franchise. The announcement was accompanied by a teaser video showing the original cast reuniting in their iconic yellow Fiat Cinquecento.

The original main cast—Simon Bird, James Buckley, Blake Harrison, and Joe Thomas—are all confirmed to reprise their roles as Will, Jay, Neil, and Simon. The project will be written and directed by the series' original creators, Damon Beesley and Iain Morris, who expressed excitement about working with the group again.

The franchise, which began as a sitcom on E4 between 2008 and 2010, previously saw two successful theatrical releases in 2011 and 2014. While the production is underway, specific plot details and a release date for the new film have not yet been disclosed.
