Netflix biopic dispute: Vadalá family fails to reach settlement
A second mediation hearing between the family of Luis Vadalá and representatives from Netflix and Moria Casán has failed to reach an economic agreement. A new hearing has been scheduled for October 20.
Ingrid Vadalá, daughter of the late Luis Vadalá, is seeking compensation regarding a biographical series about Moria Casán. The family alleges that the production portrays her father in a derogatory manner, depicting him as a person struggling with drug addiction and financial instability that contributed to the end of a decade-long relationship.
Legal counsel for the Vadalá family has expressed concerns regarding attempts to delay the process. They have stated that if no economic settlement is offered, they will immediately proceed to judicial litigation, noting that legal costs and damages would likely increase the financial claims in a court setting.
