Netflix crime series gain traction in Portugal and Germany

Netflix is seeing success with various crime series across different regions. In Portugal, the CBS series ‘Unforgettable’ has reached the top 10 most-watched series list. The show follows Carrie Wells, a former detective with hyperthymesia—a rare condition that allows her to remember everything with precision—as she uses her memory to solve crimes while searching for answers regarding her sister's murder.

In another release, the German crime thriller ‘Die Falle’ (The Trap) has been released on the platform. The miniseries follows Lisa Konrad, a writer who attempts to trap the man she believes murdered her sister nearly a decade earlier. The production features a slow-burn narrative and has sparked discussion among subscribers regarding its open-ended conclusion.
