Netflix Delays New JoJo 'Steel Ball Run' Anime Episodes to September 2026

Netflix will launch the second part (2nd Stage) of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Steel Ball Run on 25 September 2026. The cour will consist of 11 episodes released weekly, followed later by a third part of the same length.

Producer Noriko Dohi explained that the long interval between the first episode, which aired in March 2026, and the upcoming cour is due to the difficulty of animating the series' complex horse‑race sequences and other demanding scenes. The studio aims for roughly five‑month gaps between cours to ensure quality, consulting historian Hidekazu Nishikawa for period accuracy. The production schedule also reflects the need to manage the workload of animators and staff.
