Netflix documentary explores Donald Trump’s secret decoy plane ruse
Netflix has released a sneak peek of its new documentary, ‘The Decoy Plane’, which details a secret security maneuver involving Donald Trump. The film explores an elaborate ruse used while the former president was returning from a NATO summit in Turkiye in July.
According to the documentary and reports from the Washington Post, Trump used a decoy aircraft to mask his movements following an alleged Iranian assassination threat. While he appeared to board the traditional Air Force One jumbo jet in view of the media, he was actually shuttled via a hydraulic airport catering truck into a smaller Air Force C-32A aircraft to avoid detection.
The documentary features interviews with White House correspondents and photographers who witnessed unusual activity, such as staff instructing reporters to lower their window shades. The film is part of the ‘Instadocs’ series and is executive produced by Josh Tyrangiel.
