Netflix expands cast for ‘Enigma Variations’ series

Netflix has announced additional cast members for its upcoming limited series, ‘Enigma Variations’, an adaptation of the novel by André Aciman, author of ‘Call Me by Your Name’. Sarah Pidgeon, Peter Hermann, Juliana Canfield, and Francesca Cavallin have joined the ensemble.

The series stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Paul, a man whose identity is shaped by various lovers over six transformative years. The cast also includes Alicia Vikander as Claire, Riley Keough as Maud, Devon Terrell as Manfred, Nicholas Podany as Harlan, and Carl Clemons-Hopkins as Noah. The story explores themes of masculinity, sexuality, and the search for lasting love across settings including Italy, New York, and New England.

The adaptation is directed by Oliver Hermanus and written and produced by Amanda Kate Shuman. A release date has not yet been announced.
