Netflix expands catalog with classic western and LEGO One Piece series

Netflix has added the classic 1968 western "Hasta que llegó su hora" (Once Upon a Time in the West) to its streaming library. The film’s opening sequence, praised by the British Film Institute, features a tense, word‑less standoff at a remote train station, highlighted by Ennio Morricone’s score and director Sergio Leone’s meticulous pacing.

The platform is also set to debut a two‑episode LEGO‑styled miniseries of "One Piece" on 29 September. Created by writer Tom Hyndman, the short series reimagines the early story arcs of Eiichiro Oda’s manga with a humorous, absurd LEGO aesthetic, aiming to attract viewers who have not yet entered the One Piece universe.

Both additions illustrate Netflix’s strategy of diversifying its content portfolio, offering both celebrated classic cinema and novel adaptations of popular franchises.
