Netflix expands My Hero Academia: Vigilantes streaming availability
Netflix has added the first two seasons of the anime spin-off ‘My Hero Academia: Vigilantes’ to its platform. The series, which is available in Japanese audio with English subtitles, launched on the service on October 16, 2026, in several regions including the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.
Set five years before the events of the original series, the prequel follows Koichi Haimawari as he uses his powers clandestinely to help people. While the main ‘My Hero Academia’ franchise has concluded, the spin-off remains a significant part of the universe. The series is based on the manga by Hideyuki Furuhashi and Court Betten, and is considered canon due to the active supervision and input of the original creator, Kohei Horikoshi.
Previously, the two seasons were primarily available via Crunchyroll, which handles international distribution and simultaneous releases with Japan. Fans continue to await news regarding a potential third season of the spin-off.
