Netflix faces content removals and legal challenges in Italy

Netflix is undergoing several changes regarding its content catalog and pricing structures. The fantasy comedy series ‘The Good Place’, starring Kristen Bell, is scheduled to leave the platform on September 25, marking the end of its availability for all four seasons.

Regarding its business model, Netflix has implemented various subscription tiers and stricter rules on account sharing. In Italy, the platform faces legal scrutiny following a ruling by the Court of Rome on April 1, 2026, which declared price increases applied between 2017 and 2024 to be illegitimate. While Italian subscription prices currently range from €6.99 to €19.99 per month, the company has already implemented further price hikes in the United States, Spain, and the United Kingdom for 2026.
