Netflix film ‘Projet K’ to depict Nazi hunters Beate and Serge Klarsfeld

Netflix is producing a historical drama titled ‘Projet K’, which depicts the real-life pursuit of Nazi war criminal Klaus Barbie by Beate and Serge Klarsfeld. The film stars Diane Kruger as Beate Klarsfeld and Dany Boon as Serge Klarsfeld.

Tim Roth has been cast to portray Klaus Barbie, the former Gestapo chief in Lyon known as the ‘Butcher of Lyon’. Directed by Yvan Attal and co-written with Laurent Turner, the production explores the decade-long hunt for Barbie and the personal commitment of the Klarsfelds to justice.

Filming began in October 2023 and includes locations in Paris, Lyon, Belgium, and Bolivia. While an official release date has not been announced, a 2024 release is anticipated.
