Netflix films ‘Project K’ in La Paz, Bolivia

Netflix is currently filming ‘Project K’ in La Paz, Bolivia. The film follows the real-life story of Beate and Serge Klarsfeld, the couple known as the ‘Nazi hunters,’ who tracked down the war criminal Klaus Barbie, famously known as the ‘Butcher of Lyon.’

Production has caused recent street closures in several La Paz neighborhoods, including Miraflores, Sopocachi, the Southern Zone, and the historic city center. Recent filming took place in an old colonial house on Indaburo Street within the city’s historic district.

The film stars Tim Roth as Klaus Barbie, with Diane Kruger and Dany Boon portraying the Klarsfelds. Directed by Yvan Attal, the story depicts the decade-long search for the former Gestapo chief and the opposition the couple faced while attempting to bring him to justice.
