Netflix launches Indian family comedy series 'Chumbak' on Aug 28

Netflix is set to release the Indian family comedy series “Chumbak” on August 28. The show is described as a feel‑good, multi‑generational comedy set in a contemporary urban neighbourhood, highlighting everyday celebrations and challenges.

The ensemble cast includes Neena Gupta, Sumeet Vyas, Devan Bhojani, Arjun Bijlani, Helly Shah, Manasi Parekh, Sandeepa Dhar, Sumeet Raghavan, Anant V. Joshi, Amyra Dastur, Delnaaz Irani and Atul Kumar. The series is created and co‑produced by JD Majethia and Aatish Kapadia, the duo behind “Sarabhai vs Sarabhai” and “Khichdi”. Netflix India series head Tanya Bami said the series aims to capture the warmth and humor of neighbourhood life, bringing families together across generations.
