Netflix launches new movies and series for August 2026

Netflix is adding a slate of original films to its August 2026 lineup. The sci‑fi thriller The Last House stars Greta Lee, Wagner Moura and Riley Chung, while the musical teen dramedy Don’t Say Good Luck features Sunny Sandler and Melanie Lynskey. Crime‑thriller The Whisper Man brings together Adam Scott, Robert De Niro and Michelle Monaghan, and the Mexican‑themed Facing El Chapo joins the roster.

The streaming service also releases several documentaries, including Big Chicken: A Fast Food Conspiracy with comedian Mo Gilligan, Freefall: A Reckoning for Boeing, and Untold: The Testimony of Vince Young. New TV offerings feature the return of Outer Banks, the reality dating series Let’s Marry Harry starring Harry Jowsey, and additional original series slated for the month.
