Netflix launches One Piece: Heroines spin‑off special

Netflix added a new 23‑minute anime special titled *One Piece: Heroines* to its catalogue on 11 July. The spin‑off, adapted from the Jun Esaka light‑novel series, focuses on the franchise’s female characters, beginning with a story about navigator Nami. Directed by Haruka Kamatani and featuring character designs by Takashi Kojima, the short received four out of five stars from Anime News Network. It streams in the original Japanese with German subtitles.

The platform also continues to expand its live‑action adaptation of Eiichiro Oda’s manga. Two seasons of the Netflix original series are available, and a third season—*One Piece: The Battle of Alabasta*—has been confirmed for a 2027 release. Cast members include Iñaki Godoy as Monkey D. Luffy and Emily Rudd as Nami, among others.
