Netflix Begins Production of Grown Ups 3 with Original Cast
Netflix announced that filming has started on the third installment of the Grown Ups franchise (also released internationally as Son como niños 3 or Gente Grande 3). Production began in early August 2026 in New Jersey. The movie reunites the original core cast – Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Chris Rock, David Spade and Rob Schneider – along with their spouses Salma Hayek Pinault, Maya Rudolph and Maria Bello. New additions to the ensemble include Julie Bowen, Bailee Madison and Deon Cole. The film is directed by Kyle Newacheck and written by Sandler with longtime collaborator Tim Herlihy. Netflix shared a group photo on Instagram with the caption “The gang’s all back,” but no release date or plot details beyond the premise that the friends’ children are now grown and the group embarks on an “ultimate adventure.”
