Netflix releases box office data for 'La bola negra

Netflix has released box office figures for the film ‘La bola negra’, directed by Javier Calvo and Javier Ambrossi, marking the first time the streaming platform has disclosed such data in ten years. Between October 16 and 18, the film earned $277,500 across four theaters in New York and Los Angeles, averaging $69,375 per screen.

Netflix noted that only ‘Parasite’ has achieved a higher average among non-English language films, and no Spanish-language film has reached such heights. The film, a production of Movistar Plus and Suma Content Films, is scheduled to expand to 300 theaters across the United States on November 6.

This disclosure follows a period where Netflix withheld data for other successful titles, such as the karaoke version of ‘K-pop Warriors’. Previously, the platform did not publish figures for films like ‘Roma’, ‘The Irishman’, or ‘Glass Onion’.
