Netflix releases Dilwali Diwali film

Netflix has released the film Dilwali Diwali, a story centered on family dynamics and the meaning of home during the Diwali festival. The plot follows Ansh, who returns to India after working in Norway to surprise his middle-class Punjabi parents with a new apartment.

The film explores the friction between generations as the parents struggle to adapt to an upgraded lifestyle and the loss of their ancestral routines. Directed by Ritesh Menon and written by Ritu Mago, the production features a cast including Mihir Ahuja, Manoj Pahwa, Neelu Kohli, and Aurra Bhatnagar. The story examines how intergenerational expectations and communication gaps can turn well-intentioned gestures into familial dilemmas.
