Netflix releases documentary on 2022 Idaho university murders
Netflix will premiere a three‑part documentary series titled **The Idaho Murders: College Nightmare** on July 29. The series recounts the November 13, 2022 killing of four University of Idaho students—Madison Mogen, Kaylee Goncalves, Ethan Chapin and Xana Kernodle—who were found dead in an off‑campus house.
Directed by Skye Borgman and executive‑produced by Joe Berlinger, the series incorporates unprecedented police body‑camera footage, archival material and extensive interviews with the victims’ families. It also covers the investigation that led to the guilty plea of Bryan Kohberger, a PhD student from nearby Washington. Netflix positions the documentary as a definitive account that places the victims at the centre of the narrative, joining similar offerings on Peacock and Amazon Prime Video.
The release aims to provide a detailed chronological reconstruction of the case while honoring the lives of the four students.
