Netflix releases historical drama The House of Guinness

Netflix has released ‘The House of Guinness’, a historical drama series created by Steven Knight, the creator of ‘Peaky Blinders’. Set in Dublin in 1868, the eight-episode first season follows the power struggles and family disputes that arise following the death of patriarch Benjamin Guinness.

The narrative focuses on the four heirs, specifically brothers Arthur and Edward Guinness, as they navigate personal ambitions, secrets, and rivalries that threaten the brewery's legacy. The series integrates the historical social and political tensions of 19th-century Ireland, contrasting the economic power of the Guinness dynasty with the era's deep societal inequalities.

The cast features Anthony Boyle, Luis Partridge, and Emily Fairn, among others.
