Netflix releases sequel ‘Colors of Evil: Black’ continuing Polish crime saga
Netflix has launched the sequel ‘Colors of Evil: Black’, the second installment of the Polish crime series adapted from Małgorzata Oliwia Sobczak’s trilogy. The film follows prosecutor Leopold Bilski, played again by Jakub Gierszał, as he is transferred from the coast to a rural town in Poland’s Kashubia region, where the disappearance of a child uncovers institutional corruption and long‑hidden secrets.
The sequel builds on the success of ‘Colors of Evil: Red’, which attracted millions of viewers after its May 2024 release and ranked among Netflix’s top‑10 non‑English titles. New cast members include Marianna Zydek, Andrzej Chyra and veteran Zdzisław Wardejn, while director Adrian Panek returns to helm the production. The series continues to draw international attention for its gritty portrayal of Polish crime drama and its expanding franchise potential.
