Netflix releases teaser for animated Cinderella reimagining ‘Steps’

Netflix has released a teaser trailer for its upcoming animated fantasy-comedy, ‘Steps’, a fractured reimagining of the Cinderella fairy tale. Scheduled for global release on November 20, the film shifts the perspective to Cinderella’s stepsisters, Lilith and Margot, who are tired of living in the protagonist's shadow.

The plot follows Lilith and Margot after they steal the Fairy Godmother’s magic wand and hijack the Royal Ball, an action that inadvertently allows a villainous schemer named Priscilla to seize the throne. To rectify the situation and save the kingdom, Lilith must form an unlikely alliance with Cinderella.

The voice cast includes Ali Wong as Lilith, Stephanie Hsu as Margot, and Amanda Seyfried as Cinderella. Other notable cast members include Bette Midler as the Fairy Godmother, Daniel Radcliffe as a Prince, and Nikki Glaser as Priscilla. The film is produced by Amy Poehler.
