Netflix releases three-part José Mourinho documentary

Netflix will launch a three‑part documentary series titled “MOURINHO” on 11 August. The series follows the career of Portuguese football manager José Mourinho, including his return to Real Madrid in June after a 13‑year hiatus. Filmed over two years, the programme features exclusive access to Mourinho and interviews with football figures such as Sir Alex Ferguson, Zlatan Ibrahimović, Didier Drogba, John Terry, Frank Lampard, Iker Casillas, Samuel Eto’o, Marcelo and Luis Figo. Produced by double‑Oscar‑winner John Battsek and directed by Joe Pearlman, the series is backed by Ventureland.

The documentary aims to go beyond headlines, portraying Mourinho’s contradictions and successes, from his Champions League triumph with FC Porto to league titles in four countries and a second Champions League win with Inter Milan.
