Netflix releases trailer and theme song for 'THE RIBBON HERO

Netflix will stream the animated film THE RIBBON HERO worldwide from August 8. A second trailer unveiled the story of Sapphire, a princess fleeing the disaster “Nelgal,” and introduced new characters Pine, Velvet and Zirco. The trailer shows action‑filled scenes and the opening line “You, the cursed princess?” followed by the theme song “Reborn.”

The theme song is performed by the Japan‑Korea collaboration unit Girls Archives., marking their pre‑debut release. The film is based on Osamu Tezuka’s manga Ribbon no Kishi and is directed by Yuki Igarashi. Additional cast announced includes child actress Kobayashi Seiran as Pine, actor Uchiyama Kōki as Velvet, and actress Shintani Mayumi as Zirco. Production is handled by Twin Engine and OUTLINE, with musical support from HYBE’s NEB division and collaborators supercell and HoneyWorks.

The announcement also highlighted the involvement of character designers, art directors and other staff, underscoring the high‑profile creative team behind the project.
