Netflix releases trailer for 'Operation Safed Sagar' military drama

Netflix has unveiled the official trailer for "Operation Safed Sagar," a new series set to premiere on 7 August. The drama dramatizes the Indian Air Force’s role in the 1999 Kargil War, focusing on the Golden Arrows Squadron – a group of young fighter pilots who carried out high‑altitude missions during the conflict.

Directed by Oni Sen and featuring a cast that includes Siddharth, Jimmy Shergill, Dia Mirza, Prajakta Koli, Abhay Verma and others, the series blends aerial action with the personal pressures faced by the pilots and their families. Production consulted extensively with IAF veterans, used real Air Force bases and aircraft, and filmed in high‑altitude locations to enhance authenticity. Air Chief Marshal B. S. Dhanoa, who helped the project, praised its depiction of the pilots’ courage and sacrifice.
