Netflix releases trailer for Sacrifice starring Chris Evans and Anya Taylor-Joy

Netflix has released the trailer for Sacrifice, a comedy thriller directed by Romain Gavras. The film stars Chris Evans as a fading movie star and Anya Taylor-Joy as Joan, a radical leader who orchestrates a kidnapping plot during an environmental gala.

The plot follows Joan and her followers as they take several guests hostage, believing that sacrificing three individuals into a volcano will prevent an impending extinction event and cleanse the planet. The film serves as a satire on wealth, fame, and inequality.

Co-written by Gavras and Will Arbery, the production features an ensemble cast including Vincent Cassel, Sam Richardson, John Malkovich, Charli XCX, and Salma Hayek. Sacrifice is scheduled to begin streaming on Netflix on October 16.
