Netflix releases season 4 trailer for ‘The Diplomat’

Netflix has released the official trailer for the fourth season of its political drama series, ‘The Diplomat’, which is scheduled to debut on October 15, 2026. The new season follows the fallout from the season three cliffhanger, focusing on the escalating tensions between Ambassador Kate Wyler (Keri Russell) and her husband, Vice President Hal Wyler (Rufus Sewell).

The plot centers on a major security crisis involving a conspiracy between Hal Wyler and President Grace Penn (Allison Janney) to steal a Russian nuclear weapon. This action threatens to plunge the United States into war and shatters the fragile peace Kate previously brokered between the US and the UK.

As Kate and Todd Penn (Bradley Whitford) attempt to stop the alliance from upending the global balance of power, the series explores the collapse of both international diplomatic relations and the personal marriages of the central characters.
