Netflix releases true‑crime docu‑series on Swedish Trustor fraud and Joachim Posener

Netflix has premiered the documentary series *Inside the Trustor Scandal*, directed by Karin af Klintberg. The four‑part film revisits the high‑profile 1997 Swedish corporate fraud in which financier Joachim Posener and his associates allegedly bought a company with its own money, siphoned off millions and vanished.

Posener, who has been on the run from Interpol for decades, appears on camera for the first time in 30 years, speaking from behind a screen while the statute of limitations on his alleged crimes has expired. The series also features interviews with his cousin Thomas Jisander, a financial consultant, and Richard Djursen, the former vice‑president of the Trustor venture, offering contrasting portraits of the conspirators.

The documentary blends archival material with fresh interviews, aiming to shed light on the mechanics of the swindle and the personalities behind it, while also exploring why the case remains unresolved.
