Netflix renews rowing drama ‘Crew Girl’ for second season

Netflix has officially renewed the young adult sports drama ‘Crew Girl’ for a second season following a significant surge in viewership. The series, which premiered on September 10, 2026, has reached over 16 million views and appeared in the Top 10 English TV list in more than 90 countries.

Developed by Vivian Lin and Morwyn Brebner, the show follows Teagan Tao (Miku Martineau), a teenage rowing prodigy whose life is upended by a family embezzlement scandal. After relocating to the East Coast, Teagan enrolls at the elite Easton Prep, where she becomes the coxswain for the school’s dysfunctional boys’ varsity crew team. The first season explored themes of rivalry, family secrets, and a central love triangle involving Teagan, Josh Regis (Samuel Braun), and Cam Dillinger (Kyle Clark).

Lead actress Miku Martineau expressed excitement for the upcoming season, noting there is much more to explore regarding the characters and the rowing team. While an official release date for Season 2 has not been announced, the renewal follows the show’s rapid ascent to the number two spot on Netflix’s global charts.
