Netflix releases trailer for ‘Unabomber’ starring Russell Crowe

Netflix has released the first trailer and posters for its upcoming true-crime thriller, ‘Unabomber’, scheduled for global release on September 25, 2026. The film explores the life of Ted Kaczynski, the domestic terrorist responsible for a series of mail bombings in the United States between 1978 and 1995.

Directed by Janus Metz, the narrative utilizes a dual-timeline structure. One timeline follows Kaczynski’s formative years as a 16-year-old mathematics prodigy at Harvard University in 1958, where he was subjected to controversial psychological experiments conducted by Professor Henry Murray. The second timeline focuses on the FBI investigation led by agent Joanne Miller as authorities attempted to capture the bomber decades later.

The film stars Jacob Tremblay as the young Kaczynski, Russell Crowe as Professor Henry Murray, and Shailene Woodley as FBI agent Joanne Miller. Other cast members include Annabelle Wallis, Alexander Ludwig, Steven Ogg, and Marc Menchaca.
