Netflix schedules July 2026 launch of Little House on the Prairie reboot

Netflix has confirmed that its reboot of the classic series *Little House on the Prairie* will debut globally on July 9, 2026. The eight‑episode first season will run for about 60 minutes per episode and will be based on Laura Ingalls Wilder’s autobiographical novels set on the American frontier in the late 19th century.

The series is overseen by showrunner Rebecca Sonnenshine. The cast features Alice Halsey as Laura Ingalls, with Luke Bracey and Crosby Fitzgerald portraying her parents, and a supporting ensemble that includes Skywalker Hughes, Jocko Sims, Warren Chrisite and Alyssa Wapanatâhk. An official trailer has already been released.

The reboot aims to blend the original’s nostalgic appeal with a modern, realistic tone for today’s streaming audience.
