Netflix to release new Steel Ball Run season of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure on Sept 25, 2026

Netflix will continue the anime adaptation of Hirohiko Araki's JoJo's Bizarre Adventure with the second stage of "Steel Ball Run" beginning on 25 September 2026. The new batch consists of 11 episodes that will be released weekly on Fridays. A trailer and the release date were unveiled by Warner Bros. Japan at Anime Expo 2026, showcasing new characters such as Mountain Tim, Hot Pants and the antagonist Funny Valentine.

The series, directed by Yasuhiro Kimura and Hideya Takahashi with supervision by Yasuko Kobayashi, follows Johnny Joestar and Gyro Zeppeli in a trans‑American horse race set in 1890‑91. The first part of the adaptation has been streaming on Netflix since 19 March 2026. The announcement confirms the continuation will be globally available on Netflix, extending the popular JoJo franchise.

Production details note character design by Daisuke Tsumagari and music by Yugo Kanno. The continuation adds new narrative elements while retaining the series' signature action and supernatural "Stand" powers.
