Netflix sees institutional investment shifts amid revenue growth

Institutional investors have shown varying levels of activity regarding Netflix, Inc. stock. Meiji Yasuda Asset Management Co Ltd. purchased 70,012 shares during the second quarter, a position valued at approximately $4,999,000. Other major firms have also adjusted their holdings; Vanguard Group Inc. significantly increased its stake, while BlackRock Inc. established a new position valued at roughly $24.9 billion.

Despite strong business performance, including a 13% year-over-year revenue increase to $12.6 billion in the second quarter, Netflix stock has faced downward pressure, declining approximately 15% since the start of 2026. The company's growth is currently supported by subscriber increases, price adjustments, and the expansion of its advertising business. However, market analysts are closely monitoring how effectively the advertising model can offset high competition and content investment costs.
