Netflix series ‘Below’ reaches top streaming spot

Netflix’s limited series ‘Below’ became the most-watched streaming program for the week ending October 18, according to Samba data. The six-episode Canadian miniseries is set in a remote Newfoundland fishing village where a mysterious sea creature terrorizes the local community.

The series stars Josh Hartnett as Calvin Penney, a fisherman attempting to protect his family and town while investigating the creature alongside a marine researcher played by Mackenzie Davis. The plot also involves the character's son, Wade, played by Charlie Heaton.

Other top-performing programs during this period included Netflix’s ‘Animals’, a thriller starring Ben Affleck and Kerry Washington, and the fourth season of ‘The Diplomat’, starring Keri Russell. Prime Video’s adaptation of Stephen King’s ‘Carrie’ also ranked among the top streaming titles.
