Netflix series Bridgerton completes filming for fifth season

Filming for the fifth season of the Netflix series Bridgerton has officially concluded. While initial confusion arose after actor Luke Thompson suggested production was finished during a television interview—a claim a Netflix representative initially disputed—the streaming platform has since confirmed the milestone via its Tudum site.

The upcoming season is expected to focus on the characters Francesca and Michaela. Following the completion of principal photography, the production will enter an extensive post-production phase. Although Netflix has not announced an official release date, industry speculation suggests the fifth season could arrive as early as summer 2027, potentially shortening the gap between seasons compared to previous release cycles.
