Netflix series Running Point gains attention for fashion

The Netflix series ‘Running Point’ has gained significant attention for its fashion and costume design. Inspired by Jeannie Buss, CEO of the Los Angeles Lakers, the show follows Isla Gordon, played by Kate Hudson, as she takes charge of her family’s basketball team in Los Angeles following a scandal involving her brother.

Costume designer Salvador Pérez Jr. and Hudson’s personal stylist, Sophie Lopez, collaborated to create a wardrobe that reflects the character’s evolution from a former party-goer to a professional leader. The style is described as a blend of corporate uniforms with elegant silhouettes and layering, suitable for both business settings and social occasions. One notable look from the pilot episode featured a black leather vest and trouser set by Helmut Lang paired with a cream turtleneck.
