Netflix series ‘The Royals’ Season 2 shoot stalls after alleged director dispute

Production of the second season of the Netflix series ‘The Royals’ has reportedly stalled following an alleged altercation between director Jasmeet K Reen and producer Rangita Nandy. Sources indicate the dispute occurred in Jaisalmer, where Nandy allegedly addressed Reen over a loudspeaker in a manner that was audible to the crew.

Following the incident, the shoot was halted, and several cast and crew members reportedly returned to Mumbai. It remains uncertain if Reen will return to the project. If she does not, co-director Nitya Mehra may be required to take full charge of the season.

The upcoming filming schedule is expected to begin in Udaipur. The second season will feature Ishaan Khatter reprising his role as Maharaj Aviraaj, alongside new cast members including Gurfateh Pirzada and Sini Shetty. Bhumi Pednekar, who starred in the first season, will not be returning.
