Netflix sets October 15 release date for ‘The Diplomat’ season 4
Netflix has announced that the fourth season of the political thriller series ‘The Diplomat’ will premiere on October 15, 2026. The new season will consist of eight episodes, all released simultaneously.
Following the events of season three, the plot centers on the fallout of a conspiracy involving Vice President Hal Wyler and President Grace Penn to steal a Russian nuclear weapon. This act threatens to push the United States toward war and jeopardizes the fragile peace Ambassador Kate Wyler brokered between the U.S. and the U.K.
Character dynamics will focus on the crumbling marriages of two central couples. Kate Wyler, played by Keri Russell, attempts to mend her relationship with Hal Wyler, played by Rufus Sewell, while navigating political betrayal. Meanwhile, Kate and Todd Penn form an uneasy alliance to counter the influence of Grace and Hal. The cast includes Allison Janney, Bradley Whitford, and Ato Essandoh.
