Netflix sets premiere date for crypto drama ‘The Altruists’

Netflix has announced the premiere date for its upcoming eight-episode limited drama series, ‘The Altruists’, set for November 19, 2026. The series is inspired by the true story of Sam Bankman-Fried and Caroline Ellison, described as ambitious idealists who attempted to reshape the global financial system before being accused of stealing $8 billion.

Julia Garner will portray Caroline Ellison, and Anthony Boyle will star as Sam Bankman-Fried. The ensemble cast includes Alex Lawther, Karan Soni, Madison Hu, Naomi Okada, Eugene Young, and Matt Rife. The project is led by writer, creator, and executive producer Graham Moore, alongside co-showrunner Jacqueline Hoyt. Higher Ground Productions, founded by Barack and Michelle Obama, is also involved in the production.
