Netflix sets release date for Fauda Season 5

Netflix has announced that the fifth season of the Israeli drama series ‘Fauda’ will premiere globally on September 8. The eleven-episode season was filmed in Israel and Hungary.

Set two years after the October 7, 2023, Hamas-led attacks, the new season centers on the aftermath of those events. Creator and star Lior Raz and writer Avi Issacharoff revealed they scrapped original scripts to reformulate the story around the October 7 attacks, which they noted were far more terrifying than any previous plotlines had imagined.

The season follows Doron Kavillio and an elite anti-terrorist unit as they attempt to prevent a catastrophic attack, forcing the characters to confront the costs of ongoing conflict. The cast includes returning actors such as Yaakov Zada Daniel and Doron Ben-David, alongside new additions including French actress Mélanie Laurent and Hakim Djaziri.
