Netflix sets release date for MMA drama series “Fúria” on June 29
Netflix has released the first trailer for its new Brazilian series “Fúria”, a drama set in the mixed‑martial‑arts world. The show follows a young man rescued from near death by an MMA trainer; he loses his memory and adopts the name “Marcelo” (played by Vinícius Neri) while seeking his identity through fighting. The series also features Alice Carvalho, Bianca Comparato, Claudia Raia, Eduardo Moscovis, Babu Santana, MC Cabelinho as rival Júnior Malamute, and a cameo by former champion Anderson Silva.
“Fúria” was created by Igor Verde and Gustavo Bragança, with José Henrique Fonseca serving as general director. Executive production includes Fernanda Laignier, José Henrique Fonseca and Eduardo Pop, in a co‑production between Zola Films and Netflix. The series is scheduled to debut on the Netflix streaming platform on 29 June 2026 (as announced in the press release).
