Netflix teen drama Crew Girl reaches number one

The Netflix teen drama ‘Crew Girl’ has reached the number one spot on the streaming platform. The series follows 16-year-old rowing champion Teagan Tao, played by Miku Martineau, after her father, a hotel magnate, disappears following tips of impending arrest for financial crimes.

Now living in a New England town, Teagan attends the prestigious Easton Prep. The plot explores various teen romance tropes, including a love triangle involving Teagan and two teammates, wealth disparities, and the challenges of being a new student in a snobbish environment. The show also features a subplot involving Teagan's mother, Ella, played by Jessica Paré.
