Netflix thriller ‘Une femme sans passé’ achieves international success

The Danish psychological thriller ‘Une femme sans passé’ (also known as ‘Den Hemmelige Kvinde’ or ‘The Secret Woman’) has become one of Netflix’s most-watched international films. Directed by Barbara Topsøe-Rothenborg, the 118-minute film follows Louise Andersen, a cafe owner living a quiet life on a Norwegian island.

The plot centers on a mystery involving amnesia and hidden identities. After a stranger claims Louise is actually Hélène Söderberg—a Danish woman who disappeared three years prior—Louise discovers she is linked to a major shipping empire and a wealthy family in Denmark.
