Netflix to adapt Polish novel ‘Noce i dnie’ with filming in Poland

Netflix is preparing a new series adaptation of Maria Dąbrowska’s classic Polish novel, ‘Noce i dnie’ (Nights and Days). The production, directed by Kamila Tarabura, will feature Jaśmina Polak and Tomasz Schuchardt in the lead roles of Barbara and Bogumił Niechcic.

Filming is scheduled to take place in various Polish locations, including Zielona Góra and Tarnów. In Tarnów, casting calls for extras have drawn significant interest from local residents. In Zielona Góra, production companies Atlanta Films and Opus TV are seeking a wide range of extras, including adults, children, teenagers, and individuals with specific props or vehicles, for filming dates spanning late September and early October.

The series aims to explore approximately 30 years of the protagonists' marriage, examining the tension between romantic expectations and the realities of daily life at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries.
