Netflix to premiere ‘Grande de España’ comedy on October 23

Netflix has announced the release date for ‘Grande de España’, a new six-episode comedy series scheduled to premiere on October 23. Created and directed by Álvaro Fernández-Armero and Juan Cavestany, the production marks the first Netflix series from the production company Cuidado con el perro.

The series stars Antonio de la Torre as Don Leandro, a bankrupt marquess struggling to maintain appearances while dreaming of being named a ‘Grande de España’. To resolve his financial crisis, he attempts to sell his decaying Madrid palace to Sofía Carrington, a powerful businesswoman played by Alexandra Jiménez. The plot follows the negotiations and seductions between the two characters, revealing that neither is truly who they appear to be.

The cast also includes Enric Benavent, Fernando Andina, Teresa Rabal, Mercedes Sampietro, and Celia de Molina.
