Netflix to premiere Pan-African thriller The Covenant 2

The Pan-African action-thriller series The Covenant 2 is scheduled to premiere on Netflix across Africa on November 6, 2026. Created by Vincent Okonkwo under VSL Media, the sequel continues the narrative established in the first season, which focused on military officer Dagogo and his brother Celestine amidst themes of grief, militant tension, and ancestral blood oaths.

The second installment features a cross-continental collaboration between Nigerian and South African talent. South African filmmaker King Shaft (Menelik Father) will direct the sequel. The cast includes returning actors Sola Sobowale, Gideon Okeke, Ivie Okujaye, Uzee Usman, Bimbo Manuel, Segun Arinze, and Tope Olowoniyan. New additions to the ensemble include South African actors Vuyo Dabula and Sibusiso Jill.

While the series will stream on Netflix within Africa, viewers outside the continent will be able to access the production via Kava TV.
