Netflix to release Lizzie Borden installment of Monster anthology

Netflix has announced the upcoming release of “Monster: The Lizzie Borden Story,” the latest installment in Ryan Murphy’s true crime anthology series. The production is scheduled to premiere on Thursday, September 17.

The series focuses on the historical 1892 case of Lizzie Borden in Fall River, Massachusetts, who was accused of the murders of her father and stepmother but was ultimately acquitted. The cast features Ella Beatty as Lizzie Borden, Charlie Hunnam playing her father, Rebecca Hall as the stepmother, Vicky Krieps as the maid Bridget Sullivan, and Billie Lourd as Emma Borden.

This release is part of a broader slate of new content arriving on the streaming platform throughout September, which also includes various films such as the “Resident Evil” franchise and several other television series.
