Netflix to release Lizzie Borden true crime series

Netflix is set to release the fourth season of its crime anthology series, ‘Monster’, titled ‘Monster: The Lizzie Borden Story’. The series, created by Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan, focuses on the 1892 double murder of Andrew and Abby Borden in the United States.

While the historical Lizzie Borden was acquitted of the crimes, the new production, starring Ella Beatty, is noted for its creative interpretation of the case. The series explores the enduring mystery of the axe murders that have remained a fixture of American popular culture for over 130 years.
