Netflix to release Matthew Perry documentary in October

Netflix has announced a three-episode documentary titled ‘The One About Matthew Perry’, scheduled for release on October 27. The release date falls one day before the third anniversary of the actor's death.

Directed by Emmy winner Mary Robertson, the series aims to provide an exhaustive look at the life of the ‘Friends’ star. The production will feature testimonials from close collaborators and the actor's sister, psychotherapist Mia Perry Bowick.

The documentary intends to reveal the person behind the public figure, utilizing previously unreleased material from the family's private archives. One specific aspect to be explored is Perry's background as a high-performance junior tennis player in Ottawa, Canada, where he achieved national rankings before pursuing acting.
