Netflix to release Matthew Perry documentary in October 2026

Netflix has announced a three-part documentary series titled ‘The One With Matthew Perry’, scheduled for release on October 27, 2026. Directed by Emmy winner Mary Robertson, the production aims to explore the life of the actor beyond his iconic role as Chandler Bing on ‘Friends’.

The series will utilize previously unreleased personal archives from the Perry family, including childhood footage, private photographs, and unreleased audio interviews. It will feature testimonies from close friends, collaborators, and his sister, Mia Perry Bowick.

Bowick stated that she needed time to prepare to discuss the complexity of her brother’s life, expressing a desire for the public to see him as a whole person rather than solely through the lens of his fame or his struggles with addiction. The documentary follows his journey from an aspiring comedian to global stardom while addressing his personal challenges.
