Netflix to release Matthew Perry docuseries in October 2026

Netflix has announced a three-part docuseries titled ‘The One About Matthew Perry’, scheduled for release on October 27, 2026. The series aims to explore the life of the late ‘Friends’ star, tracing his journey from a rising comedic actor to his private struggles.

Directed by Emmy winner Mary Robertson and produced by Maxine Productions, the documentary will utilize unreleased photos and videos from the Perry family’s private archives. The production features testimony from those closest to him, including his sister, Mia Perry Bowick, and lifelong friends, to provide insight into the person behind the public figure.

The series is expected to address both his professional success and his personal vulnerabilities, including his well-documented struggles with addiction. The release date falls one day before the third anniversary of Perry’s death.
